The Clintons

Joe Liberty - Clint Clinton - Simon “Baby” Lee Walker

Clint Clinton, born March 8, 1964 in Knoxville, Tennessee, was bottle-fed by Jerry Lee Lewis, baby-sat by ZZ Top, lullabied by Chuck Berry, and spanked by Ted Nugent. He arrived on Lludlow Street in New York at the tender age of 18 with guitar in hand and songs in head.

Drummer Simon "Baby Lee" Walker hails from Dublin, Ireland, where he was weaned on Howlin' Wolf, John Lee Hooker, Jimmy Reed and Clarlie Watts. He picked up sticks at the age of six and headed for New York at the not-so-tender age of 20.

While living on Ludlow Street, Clint soon met his Irish neighbor who occasionally knocked on his door to borrow a can of Roja Y Haba juelos and jam (y'know, jam. Like "let's jam" or "We're jammin', man, like wow.") They located a bass player through a friend of a friend who had a Cousin who knew a guy with the phone number of a girl who had a brother who had a friend who played bass. He didn't work out, so they got Joe.

Joe Liberty (his real name, folks) comes from northern Virginia, where he rode horses and was raised by Loretta Lynn, Conway Twitty, Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley.

Together these Clintons discovered the legendary club No Se No on Rivington Street. With the jukebox blasting Jerry Lee, John Lee and Elvis, the boys felt right at home. And luckily, that jukebox eventually broke down and the Clintons took the stage (or the bar, as it were), knocked over everyone’s beers, played rock 'n' roll and made the kids go crazy.
