Sleep Capsule

Scott - Russ - Jeff

Sleep Capsule was a Seattle based indie-rock band during the early to mid-nineties that released two full-lengths (Mousepuss and Pink Eye) on the Minnesota label Spanish Fly Records. They also had a couple other singles squeezed in there as well, one of which was on the indie giant Sub Pop.

Back again for another stab, it's Sleep Capsule, an intense subsonic joyride of noise through the stagnant streets of modem music. Unyeilding and calloused by years of touring the underground of America and Canada, all three original members remained intact mentally to create the second and long awaited full length release,

Pink Eye. This CD confirms Sleep Capsules' chokehold on the sludge drenched style they've been creating since 1990.

The first album by Sleep Capsule, "Mousepuss", released in 94' was considered one of the best records of all time by Seattles' Rocket magazine. "Pink Eye" goes a step further, is a step greater. The critics say it best, "I'd take Sleep Capsule over Mudhoney any- day"-Snipehunt. But hey, don't just listen to them, find out for yourself.

Sleep Capsule will be on tour all across this great U.S. of A. in support of Pink Eye, so check it out. Combined with a healthy dose of 7" singles, compilation L.P.'s, "Pink Eye" and a helluva live show, this band will explode.
