Fish and Roses
Fish & Roses is:
Rick Brown (formerly of V-Effect and Information) on drums and vocals
Sue Garner (formerly of Last Round Up and Vietnam) on bass and vocals
David Sutter on keyboards and vocals
We've been working together since September 1985, playing NewYork area clubs, occasional out of town gigs, and a few live radio shows. In July '87 we did a short tour of Europe including a performance at the MIMIFestival near Avignon, France and other gigs in France, Germany and Switzerland.
We've contributed tracks to Elliott Sharp's "Island of Sanity" compilation (No Man's Land Records, Wurzburg, Germany) and Mark Kramer's "20th Anniversary of the Summerof Love" canpilation (Shimny-Disc, NewYork City) •
Our EP, ''Fish & Roses," is slated for October release by Lost Records (manufactured and distributed by Twin/Tone). The record was produced by Chris Nelson of The Scene Is Now and Mofungo and was recorded at B.C.Studios, Noise N.Y., Water Music, and 701-derful. Also appearing on the record are Phillip Johnston of The Microscopic Septet, Chris Cochrane of No Safety, Angel Dean of Last Roundup, and Ann Rupel, who used to play with Rick in V-Effect.
A U.S. tour is planned for the fall and a more extensive European trip is expected in early '88.
