Prospective Records

Prospective Records label was started in 1987 by John Kass. John had already independently released records by hardcore legends Willful Neglect fresh out of high school in the early '80s, and had co-founded the Susstones Records label with Ed Ackerson in 1985. The first five years of releases on Prospective Records were distributed by Twin City Imports in St Paul and by Semaphore in The Netherlands. Prospective Records was then matched up with Twin/ Tone and TRG in 1992. After about a dozen releases through Twin Tone and TRG, John closed down Prospective in 1996 when he became employed by ADA, Twin Tone & TRG's distributor. John eventually started label-mailorder-retail enterprise GoJohnnyGo.com in the 2000s.
